Solar Pump Systems

Solar Water Pump Systems from China — 0.37kW to 11kW, Submersible & Surface, 49 Models
EverRay solar water pump systems deliver water where the grid never reaches — for irrigation, livestock, borehole water supply and fisheries. Three pump types — submersible, surface self-priming and centrifugal — cover 0.37kW to 11kW, with 9 to 232 meters of head and flow from 1.8 to 174 m³/h. No fuel, no grid, no running costs.
System Range — 0.37kW to 11kW, Head 9-232m

How to Select the Right Solar Water Pump
Two numbers decide everything:
- Total head (m) — the vertical distance from the water level to the discharge point, plus friction losses. Deeper boreholes need high-head submersible pumps.
- Daily water demand (m³) — how much water your crops, animals or household need per day.
Send us both numbers and your location — we match the optimal model from the 49-model range and size the solar array for your region’s sunlight.
System Configuration
- Solar pump inverter / controller — MPPT tracking maximizes water output from sunrise to sunset; control range DC 96-360V, IP65 rated for outdoor install
- Solar array — sized to your location’s irradiance; standard modules, easy local replacement
- Submersible pump — stainless steel wet-end options for long well life; brushless DC motor
- Optional features — dry-run protection, full-tank auto stop, float switch, remote monitoring via GSM/app
Applications
- Agricultural irrigation — drip, sprinkler and flood irrigation
- Livestock watering for ranches and villages
- Borehole and drinking water supply for rural communities
- Fish pond management, aquaculture aeration and greenhouse irrigation

Submersible or Surface Solar Pump — Choosing by Water Source
The water source decides the pump type before anything else: a borehole needs a submersible pump lowered into the well, while an open well, river, pond or tank needs a surface pump that sits on dry ground and draws water through a suction line.
| Water source | Pump type | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Borehole, tube well, deep aquifer | Submersible | Drinking water, irrigation from deep wells |
| Open well, river, pond | Surface / centrifugal | Flood irrigation, fish ponds, water transfer |
| Storage tank to field | Surface booster | Pressure boosting, drip and sprinkler systems |
Submersible models are built to run fully immersed, so they tolerate depth and avoid priming problems. Surface models are easier to service but limited by suction lift, which in practice stays under eight metres.
Solar Pump Sizing: Head, Flow and Daily Water Volume
Sizing needs three inputs, and a quotation without all three is a guess:
- Total head — vertical lift from water level to tank, plus friction losses in the pipe run
- Required flow — litres or cubic metres per hour at that head
- Daily water volume — cubic metres per day, which sets the array size together with local peak sun hours
Our range covers 0.37kW to 11kW with heads from 9 to 232 metres and flows from 1.8 to 174 m3/h, so most irrigation, livestock and drinking-water duties are met by a standard model. Send us the well depth, water level, pipe length and daily requirement and we will size the pump, the array and the MPPT controller together.
Complete kits pair our pumps with solar modules and hybrid inverters; see also our project references. The full calculation — head, flow and daily water volume — is worked through in our solar water pump system sizing guide for agriculture.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a submersible pump and a surface pump?
A submersible pump is installed inside the borehole or well, underwater — it pushes water up and suits deep water levels (up to 232m head). A surface pump (self-priming or centrifugal) stays above ground and draws water from rivers, ponds or shallow wells — easier to install and maintain, with high flow up to 85 m³/h. Send us your water depth and we will recommend the right type.
Can the pump also run on AC power when there is no sun?
Yes. DC/AC dual-input models switch between solar array and grid or generator power automatically, so pumping continues through cloudy days and night shifts. The brushless DC motor keeps efficiency high in solar mode. For fully off-grid sites we can also add a battery backup — see our LiFePO4 battery line.
Can the pump run on cloudy days?
Yes — output reduces with irradiance but the MPPT controller keeps pumping at reduced flow. For critical demand, we can add a battery backup or hybrid AC input option.
What information do you need to recommend a model?
Well depth (or dynamic water level), total head, daily water requirement and your location. With these four data points we reply with a matched system and quotation within 24 hours.
Do you supply complete kits or pumps only?
Both. We supply pump-only replacements as well as complete plug-and-play kits including solar array, inverter, mounting and cables.
Should I choose a submersible or a surface solar pump?
It depends on the water source. Boreholes and tube wells need a submersible pump lowered into the water; open wells, rivers, ponds and tanks use a surface pump, which is easier to service but limited to about 8m of suction lift. Send us the source type and we will confirm the right model.
How much water can a solar pump deliver per day?
Daily volume depends on head, flow and local peak sun hours, so there is no single figure. As a guide, a mid-range model running six effective sun hours moves well over one hundred cubic metres per day at low head, and far less at 150m and above. Give us the well depth, water level and daily requirement and we will calculate it exactly.
Can these pumps run on AC power as well?
Yes. The controllers accept DC from the solar array and AC from the grid or a generator, which covers cloudy periods and night operation where a backup supply is available.

Frequently Asked Questions
1What size solar pump systems do you supply?
From 0.37kW to 11kW, covering surface pumps, submersible borehole pumps and complete turnkey kits that include PV modules, pump, controller and mounting structure.
2How much water can a solar pump deliver per day?
Typically 30,000 to 120,000 litres per day depending on pumping head, solar irradiance and pump size. We size the system against your daily water requirement and borehole depth.
3Do solar pumps work on cloudy days or without a battery?
Solar pumps run directly from the PV array and need no battery, delivering reduced output in cloudy conditions. A battery bank or grid back-up can be added where a constant water supply is critical.
4What controllers and protection do the systems include?
All systems ship with built-in MPPT controllers featuring dry-run protection, over-voltage and over-current protection, and RS485 remote monitoring.
5What warranty do the solar pumps have?
2 years on the pump and controller, with the PV modules in the kit carrying a 10–25 year performance warranty.
