Hybrid Inverters — Single Phase, Split Phase & Three Phase (2kW – 150kW)

EverRay supplies a complete hybrid inverter lineup for every market: a proven 2–12kW global series for 24V and 48V battery systems, a 5kW single phase hybrid inverter for homes, NEMA 4X / IP66 rated North & Latin America models with split phase 120/240V output from 10kW to 16kW, and three phase hybrid inverters from 30kW to 150kW for commercial projects — a 60kW hybrid inverter is our best-selling C&I class. Whether you need an off grid solar inverter for a remote home or a three phase unit for a factory, the platform is the same: pure sine wave output, built-in MPPT solar charging and automatic grid/battery switchover — the heart of every reliable solar + storage system. Project buyers usually land on one of three sizes with their own page: 30kW three-phase hybrid inverter, 50kW three-phase hybrid inverter, and 60kW three-phase hybrid inverter.
Phase and voltage selector: single phase 230V for homes across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia; split phase 120/240V for North and Latin American homes; three phase 380/400V for factories and mini-grids. Battery systems run at 48V and 51.2V across the range, with 24V (and 12V on the smallest 2–3.6kW models) also supported.
Global 2–12kW Series — Single Phase, 24V / 48V Battery Systems
For Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, the 2–12kW series covers 24V and 48V battery systems — the workhorse for off-grid homes, shops and farms. Standard models are 2kW, 3kW, 5kW, 8kW, 10kW and 12kW, all with single phase output and built-in MPPT charging.
| Model | Rated Output | Battery | MPPT | Enclosure |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EVR-H5K | 5kW single phase 230V | 24V / 51.2V LiFePO4 | 2 MPPT, 60–450V, 9kW max PV | IP20, indoor wall mount |
| EVR-H6.5K | 6.5kW single phase | 51.2V, 120A charge | 2 MPPT, 60–450V | IP20 |
| EVR-H8K | 8kW single phase | 51.2V, 200A charge | 2 MPPT, 120–550V | IP65, parallel up to 8 units |
| EVR-H10K | 10kW single phase | 51.2V, 200A charge | 2 MPPT, 120–550V | IP65, parallel up to 8 units |
Typical pairings: a 2kW or 3kW unit for a small home running lights, fans and a TV; 5kW for a medium home with a fridge and washing machine; 8kW to 12kW for a large home with full backup and air conditioning. All are pure sine wave with LiFePO4 battery communication support, and pair naturally with our solar module range.
Every model in this series runs fully off grid — as a 10kW off grid solar inverter for a farm or lodge with no utility connection, or in hybrid mode selling surplus solar where regulations allow. All models are true 48V hybrid inverters (48V / 51.2V LiFePO4 with BMS communication; the 2–5kW class also supports 12V and 24V banks).

Hybrid, String or Off-Grid Inverter — Which Does Your Project Need?
The three names describe different jobs, and choosing the wrong one is the most common and most expensive specification mistake.
| Type | What it does | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| String inverter | Converts PV DC to grid AC. No battery, no backup. | Cheapest solar-only grid-tied installation |
| Hybrid inverter | PV, battery and grid together, with automatic backup and battery management built in. | Storage, backup power or off-grid capability is required |
| Off-grid inverter | Battery and PV only, with no grid interaction. | Sites with no grid connection at all |
Most projects today choose the hybrid route, because a hybrid inverter lets you install solar first and add batteries later without replacing the inverter. For the full technical comparison, including efficiency, cost and retrofit paths, read our guide to hybrid inverter vs string inverter.
Sizing the Battery Bank Behind a Hybrid Inverter
The inverter’s battery voltage class decides what storage you can connect, so read the two together:
- 24V / 48V low-voltage systems — the 2-12kW single phase series, paired with LiFePO4 batteries in 12.8V or 51.2V modules, wired in series or parallel
- High-voltage battery systems — the 30-60kW three phase models, using stackable high-voltage packs for larger commercial sites
A practical starting point is 1.5-2kWh of usable battery per kW of inverter for a typical daily-cycle residential system, and more where the site needs overnight or multi-day autonomy. The inverter’s maximum charge and discharge current caps how fast the bank can cycle, so an undersized bank clips the inverter’s potential.
What Is a Split Phase Hybrid Inverter?
Split phase means the inverter supplies 120/240V from a single unit — the standard household arrangement in the United States, Canada, Mexico and much of Latin America. A split phase hybrid inverter delivers 240V for heavy loads such as pumps, dryers and air conditioning while still providing 120V for lighting and outlets, and it accepts a 240V generator input for backup.
Our NEMA 4X split phase range is built exactly for those markets, with outdoor-rated enclosures and UL 1741 compliance for grid interconnection. If you distribute in North or Latin America and currently resell European 230V single-phase inverters, this is usually the product your installers actually need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose a single phase or three phase hybrid inverter?
It depends on your grid connection and load size. Single phase 230V covers most homes in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia, typically from 2kW to 12kW including the popular 5kW class. Three phase 380/400V is required for factories and mini-grids from 30kW to 150kW. North and Latin American homes use split phase 120/240V.
What is the difference between off-grid and hybrid inverters?
An off-grid inverter works without any utility connection. A hybrid inverter adds grid interaction: it can sell excess solar to the grid where regulations allow and switch seamlessly between grid, battery and solar during outages. All EverRay models run in both modes.
Do you have inverters for the North American market?
Yes. The EVR-H10K/H16K and EVR-H12K/H15K split phase models are built for the Americas with NEMA 4X outdoor enclosures and 48V/51.2V batteries, and the three-phase 30-70kW series is certified to UL 1741 for 120/208V and 277/480V grids.
Can I use lithium batteries with these inverters?
Yes. Our inverters support LiFePO4 batteries with communication protocols as well as Gel/AGM with configurable charging profiles, on both 48V and high-voltage 150-850V battery systems. See our LiFePO4 battery range for matching models.
Can multiple inverters work together?
Yes. Residential models support parallel connection of up to 8 units, and the three-phase C&I platform supports up to 8 units in parallel, scaling a 60kW hybrid inverter bank to 480kW.
Is the 60kW hybrid inverter certified for the US market?
Yes. The US-standard series covers 30–70kW at 120/208V and 277/480V, certified to UL 1741 and FCC Part 15B, and supports mixed single- and three-phase loads — so a 60kW hybrid inverter can serve a US commercial site without a separate step-down transformer. The EU series (29.9–60kW, 380/400V) is certified to IEC 62109, EN 50549-1 and VDE-AR-N 4105.
Do you offer a NEMA 4X hybrid inverter for outdoor installation?
Yes. Our North and Latin America models (EVR-H10K/H16K, EVR-H12K/H15K) come in NEMA 4X outdoor-rated enclosures — sealed against rain, dust and corrosive coastal air — and the three-phase C&I series is IP66 rated, which meets the same outdoor-protection intent. Mounting, wiring boxes and surge protection accessories are quoted together so the whole string is weather-ready.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 1 unit for standard models, and sample or trial orders are welcome. Lead time is 1–2 weeks from order confirmation for standard configurations; 2–4 weeks applies only to custom-configured or OEM-labelled orders.
What size hybrid inverter do I need for a 10kW solar array?
As a rule the inverter is sized close to the array’s peak output, so a 10kW array normally pairs with an 8-12kW hybrid inverter, subject to the local grid-connection limit and export cap. A DC/AC ratio slightly above 1 is acceptable within the datasheet limit, but an undersized inverter caps your yield permanently.
What is the difference between a hybrid inverter and a string inverter?
A string inverter only converts PV DC to grid AC. A hybrid inverter also manages a battery, provides automatic backup during outages and can run off-grid or export to the grid. Our range covers 2kW to 150kW, including the 60kW three phase model that parallels to 480kW for commercial sites.
Do your inverters support 120/240V split phase output?
Yes. The North and Latin America range is built as split phase 120/240V with NEMA 4X outdoor-rated enclosures and UL 1741 compliance, in 10kW, 12kW, 15kW and 16kW models.
