The Certification Systems, Explained
Four systems cover almost every solar and storage shipment. Here is what each one actually proves.
CE — European Union
A manufacturer’s declaration that the product meets the applicable EU directives, covering Low Voltage, EMC and, for inverters, Radio Equipment. It is a self-declaration backed by a technical file, not a third-party badge. What it proves: the product may legally be placed on the EU market.
IEC — International
International Electrotechnical Commission standards, tested by bodies such as TÜV, SGS or Intertek. IEC 61215 and 61730 cover modules, IEC 62619 covers lithium batteries for industrial use, IEC 62109 covers inverters. What it proves: the product passed internationally recognised safety and performance tests.
UL — North America
Certification issued by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory. UL 1741 applies to inverters, UL 1973 to stationary batteries and UL 9540 to complete energy storage systems. What it proves: the product is accepted by US and Canadian authorities and site inspectors.
UN38.3 — Transport
The UN test standard for shipping lithium batteries by air, sea and road. Paired with an MSDS, it is what carriers and customs require before a battery shipment is allowed on board. What it proves: the cells are safe to transport.
How We Verify Before Shipment
A certificate is only useful if the product actually matches it. Every batch we ship passes four checks:
- Factory audit first. We source only from audited partner factories with a manufacturing-scope business licence and a verifiable export record.
- Electroluminescence and flash test. Every module batch is EL-imaged for micro-cracks and flash-tested for real power output, then binned by measured wattage.
- Nameplate and label check. The model, power class and certification marks on the label are matched against the datasheet you approved.
- Pre-shipment inspection and loading photos. Quantity, packaging and container loading are photographed before the container leaves the yard.

Warranty and Long-Term Assurance
Warranty terms are written into the contract, not just quoted in an email. Our standard terms are:

Read three numbers on any warranty: the period, the minimum retained capacity at the end of it, and the annual cycle allowance. We state all three in writing before you order.
Verify Our Certificates Yourself
We would rather you check than trust. Three steps confirm any certificate we send you:
- Ask for the full document, not a photo of a badge. A real certificate names the certificate holder, the exact model, the standard, the issuing body and a certificate number.
- Match the holder and the model. The certificate holder must match the supplier you are paying, and the model must match the datasheet you approved — not a similar model from the same factory.
- Check the source. Certificates from TÜV, SGS, Intertek, UL and similar bodies can be verified on the issuing body’s own website or by email.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you send certificates before I place an order?
Yes. Tell us the product line and destination market, and we will send the certificate and test-report set for the exact model you are considering — no deposit required.
Are your batteries UN38.3 and MSDS compliant for shipping?
Yes. All LiFePO4 batteries we ship include a UN38.3 test summary and an MSDS, which is what carriers and customs require for air and sea transport.
What is UL 9540 and do I need it?
UL 9540 is the North American standard for complete energy storage systems — the cabinet or container as a whole, not only the cells. If your project is in the US or Canada and will be inspected, you will be asked for it.
How do I know a certificate is not borrowed from another factory?
Check that the certificate holder matches the company you are paying, and that the model on the certificate matches the datasheet you approved. A certificate naming a different factory or a different model does not cover your order.
