Solar Battery Storage UK: Wholesale Supplier, MOQ and the 0% VAT Window | EverRay

EverRay supplies solar modules, hybrid inverters, LiFePO4 batteries and complete home and commercial energy storage systems to UK distributors, installers and EPC contractors — with tiered wholesale pricing, MOQ from one pallet or one unit, 1–2 week production lead time and DDP delivery to Felixstowe, Southampton, London Gateway or your door. Behind the brand: 83 projects across 52 countries totalling 42.3 MW, including a 1 MW reference in neighbouring Bulgaria and a 1 MW / 748.9 kWh island microgrid in the Maldives.

This page is written for UK buyers, not homeowners: what the British market demands from the equipment you stock, how the MCS, SEG and VAT mechanics shape your customers’ quotes, and how landed cost works. Send us your list and we answer within 24 hours — in English, with numbers in writing.

What UK Buyers Need From a Solar Battery Supplier

The UK market rewards suppliers who understand that the installer’s problem is paperwork economics, not hardware. Three conditions shape what actually sells:

  • Electricity prices that make storage arithmetic work. Ofgem’s October–December average unit price ran 26.32p/kWh, and installed 5–10 kWh home systems land at £3,000–7,000. At those numbers, time-of-use arbitrage and backup payback are real, and your end-customer quote lives or dies on the battery line — which is why price-per-usable-kWh, not price-per-unit, is what your trade counter competes on.
  • The MCS and SEG compliance chain. Your customers can only claim Smart Export Guarantee payments through MCS-certified products fitted by MCS-certified installers under MIS 3012. That chain decides what you can stock and sell as “SEG-eligible” — we cover it honestly below, including what we supply and what your certification body does.
  • Grid connection and cold-climate performance. Single-phase systems up to 16 A per phase (≈3.68 kW) connect under G98 with a notification inside 28 days of commissioning; anything larger needs G99 approval before install. And UK batteries live in garages and outbuildings — ask us for low-temperature charge and discharge curves, not just the datasheet headline, before you commit a season’s stock.

Same range, different market logic: in the UK the battery is the profit line on the quote, and the export tariff is a bonus, not the payback driver.

Solar Battery Storage Price List for the UK — What It Contains

We issue a UK-specific price list on request, and it is a working document, not a teaser:

  • Per-model pricing across all eight lines: modules 440–735 W, hybrid inverters 2–150 kW, LiFePO4 batteries 12.8–76.8 V, home ESS 3–60 kWh, C&I cabinets 64–500 kWh, pumps, lighting and cleaning equipment
  • Volume tier ladders — consolidated orders across product lines count toward the same tier
  • DDP landed-cost lines for UK delivery: CIF value, duty, import VAT and clearing, so you see the pound cost per unit before you commit
  • Validity periods and container-mix suggestions for quarterly stocking

Request it via the form below or WhatsApp +86 183-5694-3951 — the list comes with datasheets and certificates per model (CE, IEC, UL, UL9540), so your engineers can verify before your finance team commits.

VAT, MCS and G98/G99 — the Three Papers That Price Your Quote

0% VAT: a window that closes on 31 March 2027

Residential battery and solar installations currently qualify for 0% VAT as energy-saving materials, a rate that returns to 5% after 31 March 2027. Two things follow for your business. First, this is an installation-invoice rate — your end-customer benefit, not your import treatment; standard-rate import VAT applies at the border and is reclaimed by VAT-registered businesses. Second, the window is a demand-shaping deadline: homeowners who were sitting on the fence have a dated reason to book installers before April 2027, and installers who stock ahead of the rush buy at today’s prices and sell into a deadline market.

MCS and the Smart Export Guarantee

SEG payments require MCS-certified products installed by MCS-certified installers under MIS 3012, and licensed suppliers with 150,000+ customers must offer an SEG tariff — rates run roughly 6–27p/kWh across suppliers. Two honest caveats we put in writing: battery-only retrofits do not earn SEG on their own — the export case needs the PV side of the system — and supplier tariffs for battery-discharged exports vary, so treat export income as a bonus line in the customer’s payback, while arbitrage and backup do the real work. Where product listing is concerned: we supply the model-level test evidence UK certification bodies ask for — IEC 62619 and IEC 63056 for batteries, IEC 62109-1/-2 for inverters, UN38.3 and MSDS per shipment — and support your certification body through the listing. What we will not do is hand you a CE certificate and call it MCS certification.

G98 or G99 — check this before you price the install

System sizeRoutePaperwork
Up to 16 A per phase (≈3.68 kW single-phase)G98Notify the DNO within 28 days of commissioning
Above 16 A per phase, or three-phase above the limitG99Application and DNO approval before installation

We ship inverters with the grid-code settings sheet for GB 50Hz profiles, so commissioning engineers are not hand-editing parameters on site.

The 0% VAT deadline follows the tax point, not your contract date

Most UK installers plan the deadline around the date they sign. That is the wrong date. The 0% rate follows the tax point, which HMRC normally treats as completion of the installation, or an earlier invoice or payment if one comes first. Three cases decide whether your customer pays 0% or 5%:

  • Contract signed February, installed April — the tax point is April, so 5% applies. Signing early fixes nothing.
  • Deposit taken in March, balance invoiced in April — the deposit is taxed at 0%, the balance at 5%. Partially protected, not protected.
  • Installed and invoiced before 1 April 2027 — 0% throughout, provided the invoice date is genuinely before the change.

For a distributor this sets your stocking calendar, not your customer’s. Anything you want installed before April has to clear Felixstowe, Southampton or London Gateway with enough weeks left to book an installer — which is why we quote 1–2 weeks production plus four to five weeks sea transit and advise ordering in the autumn, not in February.

Warm Home Loans widen who can actually buy

Government-backed lending for solar, batteries and heat pumps is now in place, with participants including HomeServe Finance, Hometree Finance, Sunsave Energy and Tandem Bank. The practical effect on your order book is a shift from cash buyers to financed ones, and financed buyers buy complete kits rather than components — inverter, battery, mounting and metering specified together so the loan covers one installation. If you are quoting financed customers, ask us for a single-line BOM rather than three separate component quotes.

The October 2026 Budget left the window alone

The Autumn Budget statement of 28 October 2026 announced no extension to the 0% rate, so the reversion to 5% on 1 April 2027 stands. The same statement cut the Boiler Upgrade Scheme by roughly £700 million while committing £400 million for 2027–28 — a signal that heat pump subsidy is tightening while battery and solar support runs through the VAT window and the loan scheme. Read that as: the demand you are stocking for arrives before April, not after.

Proven Delivery Record Relevant to European Buyers

  • Bulgaria: 1 MW project reference — European grid documentation pack proven
  • Maldives: 1 MW / 748.9 kWh island microgrid — the closest large-scale reference to remote Scottish and island network conditions
  • Philippines: 100 kW / 385 kWh commercial storage, delivered and commissioned 2025–2026
  • 83 projects, 52 countries, 42.3 MW total delivered — commissioning reports on request

Payment: 30% deposit and 70% balance against pre-shipment inspection and shipping documents, wired to the corporate account of Hefei Henghui New Energy Co., Ltd; L/C at sight on project orders. Incoterms EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP — for the UK we usually quote DDP so your landed cost is fixed before you commit. Production runs 1–2 weeks; sea transit and customs add roughly four to five weeks door to door, so a January order stocks your warehouse in time for spring installation season. Export documents, MSDS and UN38.3 for lithium batteries are issued per shipment. The full reasoning is in our guide to FOB vs CIF vs DDP for solar buyers.

Who We Supply in the UK

  • Distributors and wholesalers stocking batteries, inverters and modules for the MCS installer trade — tier pricing, certificates per model and co-branded materials. Full program: solar distributor program
  • Installers scaling beyond one supplier — mixed trial containers (batteries plus inverters plus modules) so you compare stock against your current lines before committing a season
  • EPC contractors on commercial and public-sector work — system design, compliance matrices, tender-grade quotations and G99 application support documents

If your trade counter sells to homeowners, the sizing logic your customers will ask about is worked through in our guide to choosing a home energy storage system, and the 48V vs high-voltage trade-off is covered in 48V vs high-voltage batteries.

How You Verify Us — Without Taking Our Word for It

EverRay runs an integrated manufacturing and trading model: our own engineering, pre-shipment QC and consolidation, with production across more than 20 audited partner plants. Verification is built in: third-party audit reports shared with plant codes, SGS / Bureau Veritas / TÜV inspection of your specific order with factory access arranged directly, or an in-person visit under mutual NDA. Our guide to auditing a solar factory in 20 questions is the script we suggest you run against us.

Solar Battery Storage UK — FAQ

What is the minimum order for UK customers?

One pallet of modules, one unit of inverters or batteries, one set for home or commercial storage systems. A mixed trial container — for example 20 inverters plus 30 batteries plus 10 pallets of modules — is a common first order and ships in 1–2 weeks.

Can you quote DDP to the UK?

Yes. We quote DDP landed cost including duty and import VAT to Felixstowe, Southampton, London Gateway or your door, so your cost per unit is fixed before the order. Standard-rate import VAT applies at the border and is reclaimed by VAT-registered businesses — it is inside the DDP number, not on top of it.

Does the 0% VAT rate apply to my stock order?

No. The 0% rate applies to residential installation invoices — your installer-customers charge it to homeowners — and reverts to 5% after 31 March 2027. Import VAT at the standard rate applies to commercial imports and is reclaimable. The window matters to your business because it pulls homeowner demand forward into the months before April 2027.

Do your batteries qualify for the Smart Export Guarantee?

SEG eligibility runs through MCS-certified products and MCS-certified installers under MIS 3012. We supply the model-level IEC test evidence certification bodies ask for and support the listing; we do not claim MCS certification we do not hold. Note also that battery-only retrofits do not earn SEG on their own — price your customers’ payback on arbitrage and backup first, export income second.

Do I need G98 or G99 approval?

Single-phase systems up to 16 A per phase (≈3.68 kW) connect under G98 with notification inside 28 days of commissioning. Anything larger needs G99 approval before installation. We ship the GB grid-code settings sheet with every inverter so commissioning is not guesswork.

Which products sell best to UK distributors?

5–10 kWh home ESS and 48V/51.2V wall batteries for retrofit installs, 3.6–6 kW single-phase hybrid inverters under G98, and 440–550 W modules for rooftops. Commercial projects move to 30–150 kW three-phase hybrids and 64–261 kWh cabinets.

Who manufactures the equipment?

EverRay is built on an integrated manufacturing and trading model with production across more than 20 audited partner plants. You can verify independently: audit reports with plant codes, third-party inspection of your order, or a factory visit under mutual NDA.

How long does delivery to the UK take?

Production 1–2 weeks, then roughly four to five weeks sea transit and customs door to door. If you are stocking for the pre-VAT-deadline rush, count backwards from your March window and order in the autumn.
